Melanin Base Camp, LLC is a little media company with a powerful voice and a major role in normalizing diversity in the outdoors. We began as an Instagram account in 2016 and have since grown to include a popular blog with 17k unique monthly viewers and an active community of over 21k on Instagram where our hashtag #melaninbasecamp has been used over 24k times. We’re also proud to be a founding member of the Diversify Outdoors Coalition. We’re not only writing news about diversity in the outdoors, we’re in it!
